Job Summary

Payscale is looking for a Technology Program Manager to drive operational excellence across our Information Security, Technology, and AI functions. This is a high‑visibility individual contributor role sitting at the intersection of three strategic programs – Information Security, Technology, and Enterprise AI – and requires someone who can operate independently, manage complexity across functions, and translate program status into clear executive‑level reporting.

This role reports directly to the VP of Information Security &Technology.

What You’ll Do

Program & Project Management

  • Own end‑to‑end program management for concurrent initiatives across Information Security, Technology (IT & Infrastructure/Platform), and AI – maintaining full visibility into scope, schedule, dependencies, and status at all times.
  • Build and maintain project plans, milestones, and delivery timelines in Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, and scheduling conflicts across workstreams and surface them to the appropriate stakeholders before they affect delivery.
  • Maintain a current RACI matrix across all active programs, ensuring ownership is clear and accountability gaps are documented and resolved.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate scheduling, agendas, and follow-through for cross‑functional working sessions, program reviews, and stakeholder meetings across G&A, R&D, and InfoSec/Technology.
  • Manage action item tracking and follow-up across all programs, ensuring commitments are documented, owners are assigned, and deadlines are met.
  • Serve as the operational coordinator for AI initiatives – managing meeting cadence, tracking action items and decisions, and driving follow-through on tasks.

Stakeholder Reporting & Communications

  • Develop and maintain program status dashboards and executive-level reporting for stakeholders.
  • Produce regular program health reports that surface progress, risks, and decisions required in a format appropriate for each audience.
  • Own stakeholder communications for program milestones, delays, and escalations – ensuring the right people have the right information at the right time.

Metrics & Performance Management

  • Build and maintain metrics frameworks for the IT and Information Security functions, tracking operational KPIs, SLA performance, and program velocity.
  • Develop reporting to make program and operational metrics visible to leadership on a consistent cadence.
  • Partner with Information Security and IT management to define meaningful metrics that reflect program health, not just activity.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience in a technology or IT environment.
  • PMP certification required (or actively in progress with expected completion within 12 months).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent programs independently with minimal oversight.
  • Experience building and maintaining RACI matrices, project plans, and executive status reporting across complex cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Proficiency in at least one project management tool – Jira, Asana, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
  • Experience with metrics reporting and data visualization using Tableau, Snowflake, or similar BI tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – you can write a crisp summary and facilitate a working session with equal comfort.
  • Comfortable operating in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment where structure often needs to be built rather than inherited.
  • Experience with Information Security, IT operations, or project governance programs in a technology environment.
Location

We have an employee‑centric remote‑first model that provides you the flexibility to do your best work in a space that supports you, while also finding time to collaborate in person for the moments that matter.

In our remote‑first model, employees can work from the location that works best for them. We do not have centralized corporate offices. Employees can choose to work from home, in company‑paid co‑working spaces, or any combination of the two that best suits their unique needs.

If you work from home, we recommend ensuring that you can meet the following technology, equipment, and workspace requirements:

  • High‑speed internet – a stable broadband or fiber connection (satellite is highly discouraged) with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps in a dedicated workspace that has a reliable Wi‑Fi signal.
  • Device for multifactor authentication (MFA/2FA) – smartphone, tablet, etc.

When it matters (usually no more than a few times a year) we take the time to gather for in‑person events.

Payscale has employees across the US, Canada, UK, The Philippines and Romania; however we are currently unable to hire in the Quebec Province, Northern Ireland, and Hawaii.
