Based in Washington, D.C., we are built for the dynamic mission environment facing the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and federal law enforcement agencies. We provide full-spectrum national security solutions that combine secure infrastructure, cleared talent, and mission-ready software to meet evolving defense challenges. Our services include secure software development in classified environments and the design and implementation of advanced IT and cybersecurity capabilities ranging from secure cloud architectures and enterprise infrastructure to data center operations, scientific analysis, cutting‑edge cyber defense, and intelligence analysis.

We are led by technologists and veterans with firsthand mission experience, which enables us to understand both the operational realities and the innovation needed to succeed. Our approach is agile and outcome‑based, delivering results in weeks rather than months whenever possible.

At Bridge Defense we value people, integrity, and excellence. We foster an environment where innovation thrives in support of traditional mission requirements. Our team members receive competitive compensation, robust benefits, professional development and certification opportunities, and clear paths for growth while working on the nation’s most critical projects.

Core Values
  • Innovation & Responsiveness: We push beyond legacy models with efficient, tech‑led solutions built to scale and evolve.
  • Trusted Performance: Security, compliance, and deep experience in delivering to demanding environments guides all we do.
  • Mission Focused Expertise: From veteran leadership to cleared engineers, our people understand both the technology and the mission.

Bridge Defense seeks a highly qualified Technology Operations Specialist who will support the organization’s technology environment by maintaining reliable IT systems, improving operational processes, and enabling employees across the company. This role will troubleshoot technical issues, automate routine tasks, strengthen existing capabilities, and collaborate with teams across the organization to deliver effective technology solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Support the daily operation, reliability, and security of Bridge Defense’s IT environment, including endpoints, identity systems, cloud services, and network infrastructure.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID, including user provisioning, access management, conditional access policies, and identity governance.
  • Support Microsoft 365 environments, including both GCC and GCC High tenants, while understanding the operational and compliance requirements associated with each.
  • Manage endpoint configuration, security, and compliance using Microsoft Intune and related management tools across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving hardware, software, identity, connectivity, and user access.
  • Maintain and improve IT processes, systems, and documentation to increase reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Develop scripts and automation to streamline administrative tasks, reporting, troubleshooting, and routine operations.
  • Apply security best practices in daily operations, including identifying risks, escalating concerns, and supporting compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with evaluating and implementing new technology solutions through research, testing, and documented recommendations.
  • Support network infrastructure, including firewall administration, DNS management, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Participate in change management processes by proposing, documenting, testing, and implementing configuration changes.
  • Maintain IST documentation, including standard operating procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base content.
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify opportunities for internal automation and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with employees across the organization to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, or a related technical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience supporting endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune or similar MDM platforms.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting and administering network infrastructure, including firewalls and DNS.
  • Basic Linux administration and command‑line experience.
  • Ability to write scripts for automation and troubleshooting using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of identity and authentication concepts, including SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and OIDC.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust security principles, including least privilege access, identity‑based security, continuous verification, and device trust.
  • Understanding of PKI concepts, certificates, encryption fundamentals, and basic key management principles.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and apply foundational concepts to new tools and platforms.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to connect individual technical issues to broader system impacts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical processes clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Microsoft GCC High or other regulated/government cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, or NIST 800-53 security frameworks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender security products, including Defender for Cloud Apps.
  • Experience with incident management platforms or SIEM tools.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation libraries or knowledge bases.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
