Job description

Technology Enablement Analyst

About the Role

The Technology Enablement Analyst helps everyone at Specialized use technology safely, accountably, and productively. The leading edge today is AI enablement, but the role is broader: SharePoint and Atlassian administration, data-privacy and security awareness, and the practical governance that keeps our platforms well understood and well used. Working closely with IT, Cybersecurity, and Legal, this person is the bridge between our platforms and the people who use them.

We are looking for a teacher first. The hardest part of this job is not configuring a platform — it is sitting with a team that has already built its own workaround, understanding why, and bringing them onto a supported path they actually prefer. Roughly half the week is hands‑on platform and reporting work; the other half is spent with people, running sessions, coaching teams, and steering Shadow IT back onto sanctioned tools.

Who We Are Looking For
  • You genuinely enjoy teaching — running a Lunch & Learn or walking someone through their first useful AI prompt is the best part of your week, not an interruption to it.
  • You would rather enable than gatekeep, and you get satisfaction from turning a guideline into a practice people adopt willingly.
  • You want your hands on the platforms you teach; credibility here comes from knowing the tools deeply enough to be trusted.
  • You are patient with people and impatient with friction — happy to explain something three times, then go remove the reason it needed explaining.
Key Responsibilities
AI Enablement and Safe Adoption
  • Lead AI enablement and training, including the AI Champions Lunch & Learn series, the AI Bootcamp, and the central training library.
  • Guide teams in safe, responsible, accountable AI use, and operationalize the tiered evaluation model that gates use cases by risk and data sensitivity.
  • Champion prompt‑engineering practice and real use cases, and run intake for new ones by business value and risk.
Data Privacy, Security, and Shadow IT
  • Partner with Cybersecurity and Legal to socialize what safe and accountable use means, translating requirements into guidance people can follow.
  • Steer Shadow IT back onto sanctioned platforms, and maintain the sanctioned‑tool catalog and request paths so the approved option is the easy one.
SharePoint Administration and Governance
  • Own SharePoint site administration, architecture, permissions, and content lifecycle so information stays findable, secure, and governed.
  • Run periodic permission and external‑sharing reviews with Cybersecurity, and manage site lifecycle and archival to control storage growth.
Atlassian Support and AI Cost Visibility
  • Serve as backup to the Atlassian Administrator across Jira, Confluence, and Rovo— supporting the platform, not owning it — including license hygiene ahead of renewals.
  • Produce the monthly AI consumption and cost reporting for Global Technology leadership on behalf of the Sr. Manager, System Administration, with variance to budget and the usage evidence behind renewals.
What Success Looks Like
  • Teams across the company use approved AI tools confidently for real work, with adoption measured rather than assumed.
  • New AI use cases are routinely assessed through the tiered evaluation model, so adoption scales without added risk.
  • AI spend is visible, forecast, and managed inside budget, and Shadow IT is materially reduced.
  • SharePoint is well governed, and enablement runs as a documented, repeatable service rather than a set of personal habits.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft SharePoint, including architecture, permissions, and governance.
  • Strong platform administration background across one or more enterprise SaaS or collaboration platforms — provisioning, permissions and group management, configuration, integrations, and lifecycle management.
  • Scripting and automation capability — PowerShell, Python, or equivalent, working with REST APIs such as Microsoft Graph to automate reporting and administration.
  • Demonstrated AI solution capability: has built practical AI solutions others actually use— Copilot agents, custom GPTs, prompt libraries, retrieval‑grounded assistants, or AI‑assisted automation — with sound judgment about grounding data, accuracy, and limits.
  • Experience designing and running enablement — training, workshops, onboarding, office hours, or documentation people actually read— with evidence that adoption improved.
  • A track record of gaining voluntary compliance: bringing teams onto supported tools through partnership rather than enforcement.
  • Working knowledge of data‑privacy, cybersecurity, and responsible‑AI principles, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience administering or supporting Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Rovo.
  • Exposure to security‑awareness, data‑loss‑prevention, or Shadow IT and SaaS‑governance programs.
  • Experience building a champions network, community of practice, or internal training curriculum.
  • Power Platform, low‑code automation, or SaaS integration experience; relevant Microsoft, Atlassian, security, or AI certifications.
  • Background in system administration or IT operations.
