Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Technology Director, Finance (O2C) to lead SAP S/4 O2C initiatives across multiple sites in the US. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, architecture, solution design, and implementation of O2C applications starting with SAP S/4 SD and satellite apps.
  • Oversee design, integration, and optimization of credit check, pricing, billing, and invoicing integrations.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Finance ERP and commercial/operational systems.
  • Oversee commercial reporting: daily sales, revenue, margin, open orders, and inventory.
  • Partner with Finance/Commercial to translate requirements into roadmaps and designs.
  • Provide governance for system changes with SOX controls and audit readiness.
  • Lead, coach, and develop technology teams and partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement via standardization, automation and data insights.

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Technology Director, Finance (O2C), located in Raynham, MA or in Raritan, NJ or West Chester, PA or Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Warsaw, IN.

Job Overview

This role serves as technology product owner for Order‑to‑Cash technology applications starting with SAP S/4. The role reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization and will partner closely with Finance, Commercial, and Supply Chain leaders to ensure scalable, compliant, and insight‑driven solutions that support revenue growth, margin transparency, and operational excellence. This position plays a critical role in shaping the future ERP landscape for DePuy Synthes and driving measurable business impact through reliable financial and commercial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, architecture, solution design, and implementation of applications supporting global Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) processes, starting with SAP S/4 Sales & Distribution (SD) and satellite applications such as Vertex to support medical device business processes
  • Lead design, integration, and optimization of credit check, pricing integration, billing, and invoicing solutions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Finance ERP and upstream/downstream commercial and operational systems.
  • Oversee commercial reporting capabilities, including daily sales, revenue and margin reporting, open order visibility, and inventory reporting.
  • Partner with Finance and Commercial stakeholders to translate business requirements into clear technology roadmaps and solution designs.
  • Provide governance and oversight for system changes, ensuring strong controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Lead, coach, and develop technology teams and system integrator partners to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process standardization, automation, and data‑driven insights.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
Required
Experience and Skills
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in enterprise IT with leadership responsibility for SAP S/4 Order to Cash and satellite applications.
  • Deep hands‑on knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Order‑to‑Cash, including but not limited to SD and Revenue Recognition.
  • Proven experience delivering credit management, pricing, billing, and invoicing integrations.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and financial reporting (sales, revenue, margin, open orders, inventory).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior Finance and business leaders.
  • Experience operating in a regulated, SOX‑compliant environment.
Preferred
  • Experience designing and delivering large, global S/4HANA order to cash implementations
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience delivering AI enabled solutions that drive quantifiable ROI and business value.
  • Strong vendor and system integrator management experience.
  • Experience with advanced analytics and reporting tools integrated with SAP.
  • Change management and business process optimization experience.

  • Language: English proficiency required.
  • Travel: 10-20% domestic and occasional international travel.
  • Certifications: SAP or Finance systems certifications preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

150,000.00 - 300,000.00 USD Annual

Additional Description For Pay Transparency
  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
  • Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
