Klockner Pentaplast is seeking a Color Systems Manager in the United States (Virginia). You will lead color development, matching, and maintenance for our plastic films, collaborating with marketing, sales, production, pigment suppliers, and instrument vendors to drive color consistency and cost-reduction initiatives.

The Color Systems Manager is responsible for leading all activities related to color development, color matching, and color maintenance for Klockner Pentaplast plastic films.The Color Systems Manager will collaborate with marketing, sales, production, pigment suppliers, and instrument vendors to develop new colors, improve production, ensure color consistency, and support cost-reduction initiatives.

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Must have a good eye for color. Knowledge of spectrophotometers, how to set them up, and how to use them in a day-to-day color evaluation is ideal. Must have a working knowledge of statistical methods and how to apply them to setting up color specifications. The individual should possess good team skills. A background in plastics calendaring and extrusion is desired.
