Job summary

Google in the United States is seeking a Technology Auditor to advise business and engineering teams on risk and controls, influencing decisions on product launches and system implementations.

You will evaluate operational, financial, engineering, and compliance risks, develop audit programs for cloud environments, collaborate with data scientists, analyze risk data, and prepare reports for stakeholders while integrating Generative AI tools to scale analysis across complex technical domains.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with auditors and data scientists to develop and execute comprehensive audit programs to evaluate operational, financial, IT, and compliance risks across Alphabet.
  • Analyze audit results and prepare detailed audit reports that draw meaningful conclusions, and summarize scope, procedures, findings, and practical, risk-based, data-driven, and actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage project workload, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely completion, integrating Generative AI tools to optimize productivity and process efficiency, while evaluating changes to existing processes and products to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate improvements.
  • Communicate audit findings, recommendations to a variety of stakeholders, educating and advocating for the importance of robust controls, an effective control environment, and value of internal audit.
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and leverage to gain meaningful risk insights to influence Audit Risk Universe and engagement and service offering prioritization.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in internal audit, risk or compliance roles.
  • Experience supporting technical audits that utilize programming and SQL.
  • Experience developing audit programs, reporting on audit findings or making recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Experience designing, implementing or testing internal controls and reviewing business processes in conjunction with underlying systems.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Certifications in CISA/CISSP/PMP/CIA/CPA/CFE.
  • Experience performing risk assessments, designing or implementing internal controls, and auditing platforms, hardware, devices, content moderation, online advertising, cloud technologies, content licensing, e-commerce, privacy, security, AI, or regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with basic structures and principles of object-oriented programming.
  • Understanding of coding in Python, Java, C++ or comparable language, evaluating for risk and design.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a changing, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.

US: $124000 - $177000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
