Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native enterprise solutions within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to drive solution architecture, manage stakeholder relationships, and deliver innovative digital platforms that support strategic business objectives.

In this role, you will:

• Design and architect scalable, resilient, and high-performance enterprise applications using Java and modern microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Lead solution design, requirement lifecycle management, and technology roadmaps aligned with banking product initiatives.
• Define and implement API-first architectures, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing system integrations.
• Architect event-driven systems using Kafka for real-time data processing and asynchronous communication.

What you need to have to be considered

• 15+ years of software development experience, including significant experience in solution or technology architecture roles.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot for enterprise application development.
• Extensive experience designing microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs with a focus on security, scalability, and performance.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native application deployment.
• Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 102600 to $ 162500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
