Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Technologists Assistant to support technologists, keep the scanning area organized, and help keep patient flow on schedule. This temporary/casual role covers various weekday, evening, and Saturday hours.

Responsibilities include assisting with room setup, prepping patients and jackets, managing schedules, stocking supplies, and ensuring clean imaging areas. DailyPay is available during the initial setup period.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists and monitor schedules to keep patient flow on track.
• Greet, escort and prep patients; explain procedures briefly.
• Prepare jackets and films; organize by date and number.
• Assist with room setup between patients and adjust equipment as needed.
• Prepare the next patient to optimize scheduling.
• Restore and retrieve previous exams for the next day.
• Stock and clean work areas and MRI rooms; keep areas neat.
• Stock supplies, organize closets and radiologist reading area as needed.
• Support additional duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $13.60-$19.67 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Technologists Assistant to join our team. As a Technologists Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting/supporting the Technologists in a variety of ways (based on need), allowing the Technologists patient schedules to remain on time. This role is also responsible for ensuring that the scanning area runs smoothly, is maintained and kept organized. This is a temporary/casual position, working various hours weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(70%) Technologist Assistance

1. Monitors schedules for all modalities, arthrograms, and image scans, adjusting as necessary and keeping technologists informed of changes.
2. Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
3. Prepares patient jackets and compiles films putting them together in appropriate jacket according to date and number
4. Assists technologists in room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet
5. Prepares the next patient for scanning before the current patient completes their procedure to optimize scheduling.
6. Restores and networks all previous exams for next day’s returning patients

(20%) Cleaning & Organization

1. Stocks and cleans work and control areas and MRI room(s)
2. Ensures that all patient imaging areas are stocked and organized in a neat and tidy manner
3. Cleans and stocks patient prep room and patient restroom
4. Stocks linen and empties laundry at the end of the night
5. Organizes and cleans supply closet and computer rooms
6. Organizes radiologist reading area after radiologist has left for the day
7. Checks with technologists of all modalities, Medical Records and/or Front Office team members to assist with any additional duties as needed
