Job summary

Baptist is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and contribute to patient care in the radiology department. The role requires current ARDMS or RVT registration or eligibility as a new graduate, with BLS due within two weeks of hire.

You will work under hospital protocols, maintain equipment, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, appropriate technique selection, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Registered by ARDMS and/or RVT; new graduates waiting to register.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Proof of registry (by primary source) available within 120 calendar days of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ultrasound principles and uses the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Develops and implements a procedure/treatment plan.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participates in hospital/department Performance Improvement activities to ensure patient care meets established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Ultrasound principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Specifications

Experience

• Recent experience as a Ultrasound Technologist.

Education

• Registered by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS and/or Registered Vascular Technologist RVT or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry. Proof of registry (by primary source) must be available within 120 calendar days of graduation. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 14 days of hire date.
