Job summary

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, delivering diagnostic imaging and patient care close to home. The Technologist Trainee role offers on-the-job training under a registered technologist to learn safety, documentation, and operation of Radiology across locations.

Primary duties include pre-screening personnel for magnet room safety, scanning and documenting patients under supervision, and completing patient files to meet Akumin and Joint Commission

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of a Radiology School.
• Certification by ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State issued Radiologic Technologist License, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, if applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screening of personnel before entering the magnet room to ensure safety.
• Scan and document patients under the direction of a registered technologist.
• Complete necessary documentation for patient files to meet Akumin and Joint Commission requirements.
• Other duties as needed.
