Job summary

Akumin in Wellington and Lake Worth, TX, is seeking a CT Technologist Trainee. This full-time role trains under a registered technologist to learn radiology safety, patient care, documentation, and operation of imaging equipment.

Duties include pre-screening personnel before entering the magnet room, scanning and documenting patients, and maintaining patient files to meet Joint Commission and Akumin requirements. Travel to multiple locations may be required; CPR and ARRT certification expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Successful completion of a Radiology School.
• Certificate from College or Technical School.
• Certified by ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• Continuing education of the structure component to the Radiology exam.
• State issued Radiologic Technologist License, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, if applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• 5% Travel may be required.
• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
• All candidates who accept an offer for employment will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

We are currently hiring for a CT Technologist Trainee at our Wellington & Lake Worth facilities. This will be a full time position.

The Technologist Trainee learns the safety, customer service skills, documentation and operation of Radiology through on-the job training under the direction of a registered technologist.

Preferred:

• Associate's Degree.
• Certificate from College or Technical School.
• Completion of a Radiology Program.
• Successfully demonstrate proficiency running advanced Radiology studies independently
• Technical proficiency using diagnostic imaging equipment
• Possession of venipuncture certification, or ability to secure within 3 months, if required by customer/contract
