Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to screen patients and perform imaging studies on site in Norman, OK. The role includes supporting cardiac stress testing and ultrasound procedures while ensuring patient care quality.

You will maintain patient records, ensure department readiness, supervise rotating students, and assist with reporting tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine program.
• ARRT and/or NMTCB licensure/certification is required or strongly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required during orientation and maintained through employment.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and obtain pertinent information.
• Provide quality Nuclear Medicine imaging services.
• Provide patient care during cardiac stress testing and assist with ultrasound procedures.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain patient information records in the Nuclear Medicine department.
• Maintain the department in working order.
• Provide oversight for students rotating through the department.
• Assist with clerical and other reporting duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Participate in at least 75% of scheduled department meetings.

Qualifications

Education

• Completion of an accredited program in nuclear medicine, accredited by the American Medical Association.

Experience

• Preferred but not required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
