Job summary

Baptist is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures in Memphis in accordance with radiology practice standards. The role focuses on aiding diagnosis and treatment while maintaining safety and documentation.

The candidate should be NMTCB or ARRT(N) certified (or a new graduate awaiting registry) and obtain BLS within 30 days of hire, with registry proof within 60 days of graduation.

Qualifications

• NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required or pending (new grads awaiting registry).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Proof of registry within 60 days of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of radiologic principles/theory and utilizes appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures; ensures quality results.
• Develops and implements the procedure/treatment plan following hospital protocols.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains imaging equipment, rooms, and work areas in a safe condition for patient and staff safety.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to maintain care standards.
• Completes assigned goals as part of department expectations.
• Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology standards to aid diagnosis and treatment.

Job description

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatment, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

• Registered by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Nuclear ARRT(N) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry. Proof of registry (by primary source) must be available within 60 calendar days of graduation. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
