Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Interventional Radiology to perform basic to complex procedures under licensed physicians in IR, neuro IR Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, and EP lab.

You will set up sterile table, assemble instruments, assist with catheters, guidewires, balloons, and coils, develop procedure plans, and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ARRT-accredited radiography program.
• Registered ARRT (VI) for Interventional Radiography and ARRT (R) in Radiography; BLS within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures in IR/Neuro IR Lab/Cath Lab/EP Lab.
• Sets up sterile table and required instruments.
• Assists physicians with catheters, guidewires, balloons and coils.
• Develops and implements procedure plans per hospital protocols.
• Documents all procedures per policies.
• Maintains equipment and work areas for safety.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
• Fulfills assigned duties.

Job description

• Performs basic to complex quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician in Interventional Radiology, Neuro Interventional Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology lab.
• Sets up sterile table, assembles necessary instruments, catheters, guidewires, and contrast materials according to procedure requirements.
• Assists Radiologist/Neurologist/Cardiologist with catheters, guidewires, balloons, coils, and treatments.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan and implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Other duties as assigned

Experience as obtained through Minimum of 1 year as a radiology the completion of a Radiology technologist. 6 months
Technology Program. experience in IR/Cath lab/EP.

Education

Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.
