The American Red Cross is seeking an IRL Technologist to perform donor and patient testing, interpret results for donor-recipient compatibility, and support hospitals and transfusion services. You will resolve complex serologic problems and perform manufacturing duties for special blood products where applicable.
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30pm–12am. Qualified candidates will have MT(ASCP), a biology/chemistry degree, and at least 3 years of related experience or an ASCP MLT

As a IRL Technologist at the Red Cross you will perform basic and advanced donor and patient tests, and interpret results to determine donor-recipient compatibility. You will resolve compatibility problems; provide intermediate reference and consultation services to hospitals and transfusion services. Perform automated and manual test procedures on blood samples

Skills & Abilities: Good written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Must be able to work on a team.
Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time. Required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc.
