Job summary

Eurofins USA Clinical Diagnostics is seeking a medical laboratory professional to perform tests, operate and maintain analyzers, and ensure quality control on patient samples. You will follow SOPs, document results, and maintain high safety and regulatory standards in a donor and product testing environment.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical lab science, with 0-2 years of related experience, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities to support

Responsibilities

Job Description

Our Services and Objectives

Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Products Testing.

That concern translates into testing donor specimens using FDA approved screening kits and reporting data that confirms the release to transplant. Duties and Responsibilities

• Following prescribed procedures, performing any of the tests within any of the laboratory specialties, calculating the results of the tests performed as necessary
• Operating, calibrating, conducting performance checks, and maintaining any laboratory analyzers or equipment
• Recognizing and correcting basic analyzer malfunctions; notifying management personnel when appropriate
• Preparing reagents or media from a prescribed procedure
• Evaluating media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteria
• Conducting established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluating results of quality control and implements corrective action when indicated
• Determining performance specifications for new methods
• Performs instrument maintenance, QC reagents and kits
• Performs routine testing including assay validations
• Confirming and verifying results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and analyzers
• Monitoring quality assurance/continuous improvement programs
• Monitoring safety programs in compliance with laboratory regulations
• Utilizes laboratory information systems or other methods to accurately and effectively report patient results
• Review and follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Reporting test results conforming to established procedures
• Supports Eurofins DPT’s business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics
• In order to meet Eurofins DPT’s quality policy and objectives, all employees are expected to meet basic expectations of Eurofins DPT’s quality management system including, but not limited to good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
• If required by the State in which the laboratory is located, the appropriate State License to perform clinical laboratory testing

Work Experience Requirements

• 0-2 years of related experience
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology
• Knowledge of the principles of chemistry, biology, and bacteriology as related to medical technology
• Knowledge of recent developments in the field of medical technology
• Ability to perform assigned tasks according to prescribed procedures and to make accurate observations and records of tests results
• Skill in the use of medical laboratory equipment
• Strong communication skills & analytical thinking
• Performs instrument maintenance
• Performs freezer, refrigerator, and incubator maintenance
• Performs QC reagents needed for patient testing
• Competent to perform routine testing for many tests performed within the department

• This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins DPT’s Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.

Additional Information

Compensation:

• $26-$28 per hour

Schedule:

• Wednesday – Saturday ~ 10:00pm-8:30am
