Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a dedicated Imaging Transport Assistant at Bartow Med Ctr. Under the clinical manager, you will assist with patient transport, screening, and room setup, and prepare patients for exams.

You will help with contrast preparation and education, adhering to MRI Level II standards where applicable. Responsibilities include collaborating with imaging teams to meet turnaround times and maintain exam start times.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital transport or related field preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Business related, imaging services, or medical office experience preferred.

Summary

Under the direction of the clinical manager, assists with patient transport, screening, room set up and prepares patient for exam. Prepares contrast for exam and loads contrast injector as necessary. Provides patient education as instructed by the Imaging Technologist and performs patient education documentation in the patient electronic record. Follows magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Level II training requirements and standards, where applicable. Works with clinical staff to meet department turnaround times and maintain appropriate exam start times. Responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the manager, based upon patient volumes and/or the needs of the department.
