SimonMed Imaging is seeking an Advanced Technologist Assistant to work onsite, assisting radiology technologists, preparing patients, and coordinating check-in and exam logistics. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and accurate room setup in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, CPR or phlebotomy/medical assisting certifications, and can handle patient interactions across diverse health needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in patient-focused tasks and departmental services.
• Directly responsible for patient registration administration and coordination.
• Greets visitors and informs patients of costs and appointment details.
• Handles check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and routing to resources.
• Relays messages and answers phones in a timely manner.
• Sets up imaging rooms following safety and isolation protocols.
• Provides clear explanations of studies to patients and ensures comfort and modesty.
• May assist with starting IVs as needed.
• Dresses and prepares patients for exams and escorts them to exam rooms.
• Interacts compassionately with patients across health spectrums.

As an Advanced TechnologistAssistant, you willbe onsite and able to perform a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions. The Advanced Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting radiology technologists in providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates competency in the performance ofjob-relatedskills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services.
• Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the patientregistration.
• Greets visitors/patients.
• Check-in process; Check-out process; Insurance verification process; Informs patients of costs for care being provided.
• Guides them to appropriate resources for further information.
• Answers telephones; Relays messages
• Sets up the imaging room to coincide with the examination being performed to include the use of proper isolations precautions when needed.
• Provide quality customer service, explains all studies to patient in a clear manner.
• Positions the patient, ensuring patient comfort and modesty.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Prepares patients for exams by assisting with dressing and undressing, positioning patients for exams and escorting patients to and from the exam rooms.
• Must be able to interact compassionately and effectively with people who range from healthy to critically ill.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures.
• May be required to start IVs
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
