Job summary

South Jersey Radiology Associates (SJRA) is seeking a patient support associate to assist technologists during Mammogram, Ultrasound and DEXA scans in Medford, NJ. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, providing essential patient flow and data accuracy throughout the imaging process.

The role focuses on escorting patients, verifying information, maintaining confidentiality, and effective communication with radiologists, technologists, patients, and referring offices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Detail oriented with strong multitasking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients from main waiting area to department for studies.
• Review and verify patient’s information for accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations.
• Assist patients changing clothing when required for studies.
• Daily computer keyboard use.
• Monitor modality work list.
• Print and/or scan documents into patient accounts.
• Keep the work area stocked, orderly and clean.
• Release images to patients when necessary.
• Communicate information to radiologists, technologists, patients and referring physician offices.
• Cross-train in other departments as support staff.
• Display a well-groomed professional image.
• Punctuality and regular attendance.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Description

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE – To support and assist technologists in the care of patients during their Mammogram, Ultrasound and DEXA scans.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00a - 4:30p

Location: Medford, NJ

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a medical setting preferred

Physical Demands of the Position – Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and reaching during scheduled shift. Assist patients on and off exam tables.

Working Conditions – Indoor office setting with daily patient contact. There is the potential of exposure to blood and other body fluids.
