Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Technologists Assistant II in Boynton Beach, FL for a part-time role (18 hours/week) with shifts Monday–Friday, 4:30pm–8:00pm. The role involves patient clinical care, medical intake, and assisting technologists with procedures and scheduling.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, preparing patient jackets and films, assisting with room setup, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of imaging areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• One year experience as a Technologists Assistant (I).
• Radiologic Technologist program enrollment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedules for all modalities and scans, adjusting as necessary and informing technologists.
• Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure.
• Prepares patient jackets and compiles films into jackets by date and number.
• Assists technologists in room setup between patients, including coils and sheet changes.
• Prepares next patient for scanning to optimize scheduling.
• Restores and networks previous exams for next day’s returning patients.
• Stocks and cleans work and control areas and MRI rooms.
• Keeps imaging areas stocked and organized in a neat, tidy manner.
• Cleans and stocks patient prep room and patient restroom.
• Stocks linen and handles laundry at end of night.
• Organizes supply closet and radiologist reading area after radiologist has left.
• Checks with technologists and Front Office for additional duties.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Technologists Assistant II to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Technologists Assistant II, you will be responsible for providing patients clinical care ranging from medical intake, history, administering procedures, stress tests, along others with within scope of practice in assisting the Technologists. This is a part-time position working 18 hours per week. Shifts are Monday-Friday from 4:30pm-8:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(70%) Technologist Assistance

1. Monitors schedules for all modalities, arthrograms, and image scans, adjusting as necessary and keeping technologists informed of changes.
2. Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
3. Prepares patient jackets and compiles films putting them together in appropriate jacket according to date and number
4. Assists technologists in room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet

1. Prepares the next patient for scanning before the current patient completes their procedure to optimize scheduling.
2. Restores and networks all previous exams for next day's returning patients

(20%) Cleaning & Organization

1. Stocks and cleans work and control areas and MRI room(s)
2. Ensures that all patient imaging areas are stocked and organized in a neat and tidy manner
3. Cleans and stocks patient prep room and patient restroom
4. Stocks linen and empties laundry at the end of the night
5. Organizes and cleans supply closet and computer rooms
6. Organizes radiologist reading area after radiologist has left for the day
7. Checks with technologists of all modalities, Medical Records and/or Front Office team members to assist with any additional duties as needed

(5%) Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

Required:

1. Must be 16 years of age
2. One (1) year experience as a Technologists Assistant (I)

Preferred:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technologist program
