Job summary

Boralex Inc. is seeking a hands-on Wind Turbine Asset Technician in Texas to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor turbine performance, and diagnose issues. You will work within the Asset Management Department to ensure reliability and safety.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, mentoring staff, and contributing to procedures and safety goals in a dynamic energy company.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and unscheduled preventive maintenance of wind turbines.
• Check physical and electrical integrity of the turbine, Cable management, Current and capacitance readings, Cleaning.
• Be proactive in regard to wind turbine maintenance to prevent equipment failure or degradation.
• Monitor performance of wind turbines.
• Perform diagnosis and repairs on wind turbines.
• In the event of a breakdown, promptly respond and quickly provide a solution.
• Mentor new staff and teach them theory and practical aspects of the job
• Review and contribute to the creation of instructional documents and procedures
• Participate in technical committees sharing and addressing turbine issues
• Participate in achieving OHS goals and objectives

The Asset Management Department is a strategic player in maximizing the value and performance of our energy sites. It ensures rigorous and proactive asset management to optimize profitability, sustainability, and alignment with corporate goals.

You will play an important role in:

CompensationThe expected annual base salary range for this position is $52 000–$70 000. This range includes the target value of the annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP).
