Job summary

McDonald Volvo in Littleton seeks an experienced service technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, using infrared analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices. The role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work with a range of vehicle makes and sizes.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 3 years of main line technician experience is required.
• Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes and sizes.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, and AC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications using diagnostic devices.
• Tear down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
• Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repair transmissions.
• Explain the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.

Compensation Overview

This role is based on flagged hours. Average compensation for this position is $23 - $48 per flat rate hour.

Experience & Qualifications Needed

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• 3 years of main line technician experience is required
• Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models, and sizes.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
