Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Columbia, MO is seeking a entry-level Technician to join the Release and Stability team. The Technician position is an entry-level role performing day-to-day laboratory tasks under prescribed procedures (SOPs, methods) in a GMP/GLP setting.

This full-time role offers first shift hours, M-F 8am-4:30pm, with up to 25% travel. Ideal candidates are 18+, hold a HS diploma, and have US work authorization; Excel/Outlook skills and strong organization are valued.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • College lab class experience preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Generates data from laboratory techniques and instrumentation (pH, analytical balance, sample prep).
  • Participates in studies and completes tasks in designated areas.
  • Performs routine experiments per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains clean lab conditions and proper waste disposal.
  • Adheres to schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Performs work in accordance with CGMP/GLP.
  • Completes documentation and logs; tracks materials and movements.
  • Communicates regularly with supervisor on timelines and issues.
  • Calibrates instruments and maintains lab supplies and equipment.
  • May move materials between departments and check-in/out materials.
  • Assists in quality checks of spreadsheets and data.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Job Description

Eurofins BPT-Columbia is looking for a Technician to join our Release and Stability team located in Columbia, Missouri. The Technician position is an entry-level position involved in day-to-day activities in a laboratory setting under prescribed procedures (protocols, standard operating procedures, methods, etc.)

Responsibilities include:
  • Generates data from a variety of laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation such as but not limited to, pH, analytical balance, sample preparation, etc.
  • Participates in studies as directed. Completes the necessary tasks associated with projects in designated areas.
  • Carries out routine experiments and procedures in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements as defined by protocol, method, and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains clean laboratory conditions which include, but is not limited to, cleaning glassware, emptying trash, mopping floors, etc.
  • Adheres to schedule according to EAG’s or contracting organization’s timetable and follows daily or weekly routines necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Performs work in accordance with CGMP and/or GLP principals and standard operating procedures.
  • Completes documentation legibly, timely, and accurately according to all regulatory requirements. Maintains and completes equipment log books. Appropriately documents all movement of materials during process of receipt, transfer, disposal, or archiving and distributes those documents as required.
  • Communicates effectively and regularly with supervisor regarding timelines, project completion, and any issues that may arise.
  • Depending on area of assignment, is likely to be responsible for calibration of analytical instruments, maintaining storage units, maintaining lab supplies, and ensuring that equipment is available and in good working order.
  • Depending on area of assignment, may be required to move/transfer materials from one department to another; check-in/out materials as requested by study personnel; and examine materials received/delivered for safety, accuracy of shipment, and viability of content.
  • May assist in quality check of spreadsheets and other data.
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment (computers, printers, faxes, copiers, etc.).
  • Solid organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is required. Knowledge of Word and PowerPoint is highly desirable
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of this position.

Additional Information

Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, M-F 8am-4:30pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO. No relocation assistance will be given. 25% travel may be required. This position is NOT remote.
