Job summary

KBR seeks a Quality Inspector for Aerospace Source Inspection in Clearwater, FL. You will work directly with customers to ensure quality standards in the manufacture of aerospace and electronic components.

Responsibilities include testing, inspections, calibration validation, vendor surveillance, and participation in design reviews to ensure quality requirements are met. A high school diploma with 2 years' experience and US citizenship or permanent residency are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience.
• Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
• Full understanding of the quality system and ability to read/drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests, inspections, audits, and validations to ensure process compliance and conformance to design and contract requirements.
• Validate certification/calibration status for operators and processes.
• Inspect and surveil vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors; use and maintain inspection tools.

Job Summary

Quality Inspector - Aerospace Source Inspection: Clearwater, FL

In this role, you will be required to work directly with customers to satisfy quality standards and strategy in the manufacture of aerospace and electronic components.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Conducts tests, inspections, audits, and validations to ensure process compliance with contracts, our client and KBR's KAS group requirements and specifications for design, engineering, products, equipment, maintenance and services.
• Validates that certification/calibration for operators and special processes is current.
• Conducts inspections, evaluations and/or surveillance of vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Uses and cares for inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
• Conducts sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
• Participates in root-cause-analysis.
• Conducts follow-up audits to review the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.
• Collects and uses statistical data for the monitoring and evaluation of trends.
• Provides training and tutoring to other inspection personnel.
• Participates in design reviews to ensure inclusion of quality requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required plus 2 years of experience.
• Please note: Candidates must successfully complete and pass a Skills Checklist.
• Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder)
• Full understanding of the quality system; understanding of quality processes.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret prints/drawings and other technical documents that describe the system and processes.
• Ability to use most inspection tools, measuring and test equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with AS9100.
• Experience supporting NASA, DoD, aerospace, or other high-reliability manufacturing customers.
• Ability to read and understand policies, procedures, and processes.
• Should have understanding of Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T)
