Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is seeking a Quality Control Field Technician to inspect construction and installation work, perform tests, and monitor compliance with project specifications.

You’ll address issues, document findings, and collaborate with field teams to implement improvements and ensure consistent quality across sites. This role offers a hands-on, safety-focused environment with weekly pay, PTO, 401(k) with company match, education reimbursement, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have quality control experience and knowledge of inspection processes.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in field operations.
• Valid State driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of telecommunications construction industry practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections during installation to ensure plans meet specs.
• Perform final inspections as requested by customers for compliance.
• Identify issues and report to team members for resolution.
• Record non-compliance issues and follow up until resolved.
• Ensure all required testing is completed and documented.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct quality inspections during the installation process to ensure work meets plans and specifications
• Perform final inspections as requested by customers to ensure compliance with construction standards
• Identify issues and report them to relevant team members for resolution
• Record and follow up on non-compliance issues until they are resolved
• Ensure all required testing is completed as specified and document the results
• Follow installation milestones and support project activities as directed by management
• Work overtime, travel, and handle on-call or after-hours responsibilities as needed, and perform duties in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• One year of relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications

• Quality control experience preferred
• Associates Degree in an industry related field or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the telecommunication construction industry standard practices
• Knowledge of Customer Installation Standards and Documentation

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, squeeze, bend, stoop, stand, walking, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work at heights, use ladder, life greater than 55 pounds
