Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Quality Technician to support manufacturing and Quality Control by performing in-process inspections, testing, sampling and verification to ensure products meet specifications and quality requirements. Shifts include 2nd shift and 4th shift with specific hours; candidates should be bilingual (English/Spanish) and comfortable working with SAP, LIMS, and Measurlink in a Tempe, AZ site.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED with one year of experience in biologics/pharmaceuticals, or an Associate Degree in Science with 0 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP and safety practices.
  • Basic verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
  • Forklift operation and material handling preferred.
  • Basic knowledge in computer systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform start-up, restart, and in-process verification activities.
  • Perform in-process dimensional and visual inspections to ensure product meets specifications.
  • Accurately document and record inspection and test results, including completion of Chain of Custody forms.
  • Enter test results in manufacturing systems such as Measurlink, SAP and LIMS.
  • Communicate quality issues and inspection results to appropriate personnel.
  • Segregate and document rejected and experimental materials.
  • Keep current the specifications and procedures in the area.
  • Support Manufacturing with quality issues and measurement techniques.

Job Description

The primary purpose of the Quality Technician position is to support manufacturing and Quality Control activities by performing in-process inspections, testing, sampling, and verification activities to ensure products meet established specifications, procedures, and quality requirements. The Quality Technician is responsible for accurately documenting test results, identifying and escalating quality issues, and supporting compliance with site quality procedures

Shifts:
2nd shift 5:23PM- 5:30AM Sunday - Tuesday every other Wednesday
4th shift 5:23PM- 5:30 AM Thursday - Saturday, every other Wednesday

Responsibilities
  • Perform start-up, restart, and in-process verification activities.

  • Responsible to enter test results in manufacturing systems such as measurlink, SAP and LIMS .

  • Support Manufacturing with quality issues and measurement techniques.

  • Knowledge of good manufacturing (GMP) and safety practices.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Experience driving forklifts and handling materials preferred.
  • Basic knowledge in computer systems.
