Responsibilities

• Install propane appliances such as water heaters, ranges, and heating systems.

• Document service activities and test results.
• Educate customers on safe propane use and emergency procedures.
• Maintain tools and service truck in safe condition.

Essential Job Functions

• Install, maintain, and repair propane systems including tanks, regulators, piping, appliances, and related equipment in accordance with NFPA 58 and NFPA 54.
• Perform leak checks, pressure tests, and safety inspections on new and existing systems.
• Conduct tank set installations (above‑ground and underground), ensuring compliance with clearance and code requirements.
• Replace or adjust regulators, valves, and pigtails as needed.
• Install and service propane‑fueled appliances such as water heaters, ranges, and heating systems.
• Respond to out‑of‑gas calls, leak reports, and emergency service requests in a timely, professional manner.
• Document all service activities accurately, including test results, tank serial numbers, and work performed.
• Educate customers on safe propane use, odor recognition, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service truck in safe working order.
• Comply with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and all state and federal regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs (CETP, state licensing, safety refreshers).
