Job description

Summary Statement:

The Technician, Production - Zouk Group responsibilities include operation of technical equipment as well as various systems maintenance in a safe and consistent manner. This role is a unique opportunity to act as a crucial member of a fast-paced, collaborative team.

PrimaryJob Duties:– Includes but is not limited to:

  • Operate and troubleshoot venue sound, lighting, and video systems.
  • Setup, maintain and strike DJ audio equipment, set house levels and ensure live audio standards are followed.
  • Service and maintain in-house sound, lighting, visual and special effect equipment.
  • Assist with production planning and consulting on-stage logistics.
  • Construct, install, repair, dismantle and store production items, staging, and materials.
  • Move, set up and test sound, lighting, props, and other equipment according to set requirements.
  • Assist show crews with unloading, uncasing and transportation of show equipment to the stage or designated area.
  • Build sets and perform a variety of backstage and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain the stage between shows and remove any backstage waste products.
  • Assemble support structures, attach lights, run electrical cords, and adjust the lights as needed.
  • Set up risers, lights, microphones, and musical equipment.
  • Ensure props are affixed properly.
  • Work with electricians and lighting assistants.
  • Obtain and maintain position-specific licensing.
  • Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training.
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Flexibility, autonomy, team player.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Preferred:

  • Technical-level knowledge and experience with digital and analog audio technologies.
  • Understanding of audio, video, and lighting signal flow.
  • Familiarity with Digico, Midas, Pioneer DJ, Grand MA, Resolume systems.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • College diploma in live entertainment or theatre production (or equivalent work experience).
  • At least three years of previous experience as an Entertainment Technician in a live entertainment venue or in a similar or related field.
  • Must be 21 years of age.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
  • Previous experience working in Nightlife.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Position required licenses.
