Job summary

Habasit America Inc. in Middletown, CT is hiring for full-time production/fabrication roles. You will operate and maintain fabrication equipment to produce fabric belts, with on-the-job training and potential career growth.

Role offers a competitive hourly wage and shift differentials. First shift 7:00AM–3:00PM; second shift 3:00PM–11:00PM with an additional $1.00 per hour differential. Benefits include eligibility for bonuses and incentives, featuring a $500 bonus after 90 days, another $500

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be cleared on any background screening.
• Ability to use a calculator and a tape measure.
• Computer skills a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand, walk, sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Responsibilities

• Press cures tubes on assigned presses.
• Inspects tubes before and after pressing.
• Checks and/or changes set ups, adjusts pressure and temperature settings as required.
• Preparation work on tubes when necessary.
• Responsible for the completion of accurate production record keeping.
• Transports finished tubes to next operation station.
• PUNCHES all tubes before bringing them to the next station.
• Perform other duties as required.

• While performing any procedure, all associates and contract personnel must observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines. The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is required.
• Attend and participate in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position.
• Adhere to appropriate company operating procedures, benefit rules, employment policies and safety policies.
• Press cures tubes on assigned presses
