Job summary

GE HealthCare's Oak Creek Repair Operations Center in Wisconsin is seeking a technically skilled technician to support refurbishment and safe operation of medical technology, using hand and power tools and digital inventory systems.

This role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and teamwork, with training across quality, compliance, and safety, and requires an Associate degree or equivalent technical experience.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or a high school diploma with 2 years of technical experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot subsystems and system-level issues.
  • Ability to draw conclusions from test data and deviations and assist with corrections.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic written technical information.
  • Ability to work with limited direction and communicate in English.

  • Maintain accurate records consistent with GE HealthCare's good documentation practices.
  • Provide evaluation and constructive feedback in the development of new and existing work instructions.
  • Provide strong individual contributions to assist in the team's overall success.
  • Complete all planned Quality, Compliance, and Safety training within defined deadlines.
  • Use basic hand and power tools to disassemble/reassemble equipment to meet customer needs.
  • Cleaning and disinfection of equipment.
  • Accurately keep inventory of assets and accessories using digital inventory systems.
  • Contribute to the improvement and sustainment of departmental Lean and 5s goals.

Job Description

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system level, using identifiable problem solving techniques
  • Ability to draw accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assist with corrections to the existing design or process
  • Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information
  • Ability to communicate using English (or local language)
