Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the direction of a licensed RN. You will perform essential tasks, monitor vital signs, assist with mobility, and help prepare rooms to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with the professional registered nurse.
• Performs patient care tasks under the direction of the RN including vital signs, blood glucose testing, phlebotomy, electrode placement, venous compression devices.
• Performs basic patient care services under the direction of the RN including weight measurements, intake & output, stocking supplies, and preparing rooms.
• Maintains a clean and safe patient environment, including clutter-free rooms and removal of used linens and trash.
• Supports patient/family communication, answers call lights, orients patients to their room, and assists with discharge appointments.
• Promotes safety through patient mobility and safety rounds.
• Promotes comfort by providing water, ice, pillows, blankets, and assistance with meals.
• Transports non-monitored patients and assists with transports for monitored/airway patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with the professional registered nurse.
• Performs patient care tasks under the direction of the RN including vital signs, blood glucose testing, phlebotomy, electrode placement, venous compression devices
• Performs basic patient care services under the direction of the RN including height & actual weights, intake & output, retrieval of equipment & supplies, stocks patient rooms
• Maintains a conducive environment for the patient including clutter free rooms, removing linen/trash from rooms, quiet surroundings
• Supports patient/family communication needs including answering call lights, orienting new patients to the room, assisting with discharge appointments
• Promotes safety including assisting with patient mobility, safety rounds/4Ps
• Promotes comfort including providing water, ice, cups, pillows, blankets, assistance with meals
• Transports non-monitored patients
• Assists RN with monitored and/or intubated transports
• Performs other duties as assigned
