Job summary

First Onsite Property Restoration in Chicago, IL is seeking a hands-on Technician to assist with water, fire, and mold mitigation, and to support demolition and setup across projects. You will follow safety protocols, maintain prepared company vehicles, document daily reports, track time and expenses, and provide flexible support across service lines.

A Water Mitigation Certification within 1 year is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a valid driver’s license is

Qualifications

• Restoration experience preferred.

• Some healthcare-related roles may require additional drug/alcohol screening per client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water, fire, and mold mitigation, light demolition, and equipment setup.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and response-ready company vehicles.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe job site.
• Support project documentation, photos, and daily reports.
• Track expenses, time, and complete necessary work orders.
• Perform physical labor, debris removal, and material handling.
• Provide flexible support across multiple service lines.

Education

Water Mitigation Certification within 1 year

High school diploma or equivalent

Restoration experience, preferred

Valid driver's license required

Drug and alcohol screening as required by client

A Day in the Life of a Technician

• Employees assigned to certain healthcare-related roles may be required to participate in additional drug and alcohol screening program(s) in accordance with client requirements, such as but not limited to Coalition for Construction Safety ("CCS") regulations in the state of Indiana.
