Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a senior bioprocess professional to support cGMP manufacturing in a biologics production setting. You will collaborate with engineers, perform setup and calibration tasks, and contribute to method development for process control.

The role requires BS with 6+ years of GMP experience, and responsibilities include material shipping, sampling, equipment prep, and running core unit operations such as cell culture and chromatography.

Job Description

Performs functions associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within the biologics production facility, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components and final materials. Uses sophisticated programs (such as LIMS, SAP, automated control systems, etc.) to collect and evaluate operating data, which can be used to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• As a highly skilled specialist, contributes to the development of concepts and techniques.
• Completes complex tasks in creative and effective ways.
• Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
• Makes recommendations for new procedures.
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
• Assists Supervisor in planning and leading area activities.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

• This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
