Job summary

Wind Creek Bethlehem is seeking a Technician - Maintenance II to perform general maintenance, carpentry and painting across the property. Duties include timely shift arrival, accurate recording of assignments in Facilities Dude, and hands-on upkeep in casino, retail, restaurants and back-of-house areas.

The role requires 2–4 years in facilities/maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with hand and power tools, drywall, painting, and blueprint reading.

Qualifications

Job description

The primary responsibility of the Technician - Maintenance II is to provide general maintenance, carpentry and painting property- wide. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Wind Creek Bethlehem LLC (“Wind Creek”) policies, practices, and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Arrive for shift on time and in proper uniform.
• Accurately record assignments and their completion including time spent on the assignment into Facilities Dude computer program.
• Daily maintenance of wallpaper, paint and furniture. Touch up in hotel casino, retail, back of house and restaurants.
• Repainting of curbs, traffic stripes and directional signs throughout the property.
• Maintain all finishes, including fences, light standards and canopies at parking garage.
• Repair and repaint exterior structures and doors.
• Perform all forms of construction from framing to millwork.
• Hang drywall, paint and install wall coverings for special projects.
• Handle remodeling and preventative maintenance programs property-wide.
• Handle and dispose of all hazardous waste associated with the shop.
• Maintain a current MSDS book.

• Inspect, maintain, and repair multitude of gaming related equipment including but not limited to: layouts, foot rails, drop boxes, chipper camps, wiring, etc.

• Work with other departments, vendors and the PGCB.

• Properly use equipment, tools or systems to complete assigned tasks and complies with company safety standards.
• Develop a working knowledge of any PGCB rules, regulations and Internal Controls applicable to your position.

• Complete all paperwork in accordance with Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and approved Wind Creek standards.

• Read and understand the Wind Creek Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan with regards to how to conduct business in this position and specifically the regulations prohibiting service to minors and/or intoxicated persons.
• Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers in compliance with the Wind Creek customer service standards.
• Adhere to and complies with both departmental and overall property policies and procedures.

• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Employment Requirements:

• 18 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form.
• Interpersonal skills with focused attention on guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts.
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Wind Creek appearance standards.
• Maintain consistent adherence to Wind Creek’s customer service standards.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Specific Position Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience working in a facilities/maintenance department.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must demonstrate general maintenance, including knowledge of, but not limited to, using hand & power tools.
• Must also demonstrate general mechanical, electrical skills, plumbing, carpentry including molding and base crown, metal studs, ceiling and door repair, drywall, blueprint reading, and cabinet making.
• Ability to patch dry wall and stucco; to use spray equipment, wallpaper tools, paint brushes and rollers and to mix and match colors.
• Knowledge of airless spraying procedures and brushing/rolling procedures.
• Knowledge of how to safely use/dispose of hazardous chemicals.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to access all areas of the property.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction, work indoors, outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks assigned.
• Ability to work with others, communicate well, receive direction; review your own work.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with guests in a friendly and polite manner.
• Ability to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness.
