Also, accurately executes repair procedures as applied to machines, products and systems of the Company. Accountable for the quality of repair and test work and accuracy of records.**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*** Repair, modify, assemble and calibrate all types of Fusion Joining Machines* Ensures that the proper working welding equipment is shipped to customers* Provides technical support via telephone to customers* Evaluates and troubleshoots the machine and notifies the supervisor or machine coordinator of the recommended course of action in repairing and/or replacement of damaged parts* Controls and adjust the mechanical alignments, checks the calibration and recalibrate the machine if necessary* Completes the work order and ensures the proper listing of all parts pulled out of stock* Clarifies customer-related questions directly or via supervisor and advises the supervisor* Keeps record on each machine and brings machine history file up to date* Strives to improve the machine repair procedures* Keeps all the department personnel up to date with information* Takes care of Company tools and property* Watches the stock levels and informs supervisor or machine coordinator when levels are low* Supports department with training as well as local and field repairs, as necessary* Notice frequent machine problems, reports any trends to supervisor as well as tries to find possible solutions* Analyze component failure for specifications using various analytical equipment* Maintain historical data and report on prescribed frequency* Work with customer on various tasks as needed* Manage RMAs within cycle time goals* Provides back up 24-hour technical support, as necessary* Domestic or international travel as required.* Capture contact information (phone log, etc.).* Other duties as assigned.**Desired Requirements:*** High school diploma (or equivalent), preferred* Associate’s degree in Electronics or an equivalent, a plus* Three years’ experience in electronics manufacturing in repair/analysis or related area, a plus* Ability to drive forklift, a plus.* Completion of fusion machine welding classes, a plus* Proficient personal computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office a plus.* SAP experience a plus.**Knowledge, Skills, Training & Abilities:*** Performs all operations according to prescribed safety principles.* Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.* Acts as Company representative at other company locations, or at other companies.* Follows the procedures as presented in the Employee Handbook, Etiquette Brochure, department procedures, captures contact information, and follows verbal, written or diagram instructions as provided by supervisors and managers.* Presents a professional appearance as well as presents a professional attitude with customers, distributors, vendors and other company personnel.* Ability to drive with valid driver’s license for valid Company reasons. Occasionally.* Presents professional communication skills – verbal, written, e-mails.* Knowledge of electronic theory* Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot and repair electronic products* Ability to drive forklift.* Understanding of the operation of fusion machine systems* Ability to operate electronic and calibration test and equipment# **Physical Requirements*** Ability to discern various colors (wires, electronic components, etc.).* Ability to perform typical field activities including but not limited to:* Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
