Qualifications

  • Physical dexterity and the ability to work in confined / dark spaces.
  • Confirmed NEGATIVE results for drug and alcohol testing in compliance with 14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

  • Software Updates: Update and load software programs into systems with latest firmware and navigation databases.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure repairs and maintenance meet FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Tidiness: Maintain and clean test equipment and work area.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols when working with electronic systems on aircraft.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated through training and development to maintain certification.
  • Ad hoc: Perform other duties as required by management.

Job description

Position, Purpose & Scope:

TheTechnicianLevel 3will be a team member on ouravionicsand defenseteam.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Testing and Calibration: Conduct build and calibration on avionics and defense equipment to ensure they meet industry and regulatory standards. This includes using specialized test equipment and software.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including equipmentmanuals, test results, service reports and updating work order status as required by Thomas GlobalSystems approved procedures, manufacturers' maintenance manuals and FAA regulations. Ensurecompliance with regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Software Updates: Update and load software programs into systems as needed, ensuring they are up todate with the latest firmware and navigation databases.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all avionics repairs and maintenance work adhere to industry and regulatorsstandards, including FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations or other relevant aviationauthorities.
  • Tidiness: Maintains and cleans test equipment and work area as required.
  • Safety Compliance: Comply with safety protocols and guidelines when working with electronic systemsthat can affect the safe operation of aircraft.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on advancements in avionics technology and regulations throughtraining and professional development to maintain certification and knowledge.
  • Ad hoc: Perform other duties as required by management.
Required Skills, Experience and Behaviors:
  • Attendance – regularly scheduled attendance at work required
  • Physical - Routinely lift 10lbs, occasionally 50lbs, can identify colors, can tolerate sitting and standing, be able to read small print, tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance, able to read and write English.
  • Environmental – Tolerates working in a noisy environment.
