Actalent in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Vehicle Test Technician to support engineering by performing routine vehicle maintenance, setting up and executing dynamometer tests, and compiling test documentation.

The role requires hands-on work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team under direct supervision. This contract position offers onsite work in Ann Arbor and a competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and setup experience for testing.

Job description

Job Title: Technician

Under direct supervision, the Vehicle Test Technician will support engineering efforts by performing routine vehicle maintenance, setting up and executing dynamometer tests, and compiling test documentation. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance to prepare for testing.
• Set up and conduct driving tests on a dynamometer.
• Assemble and submit documentation packets from testing.
• Conduct routine tests and follow standard test modes.
• Use mechanical and fabrication tools appropriately.
• Perform minor/light fabrication and change vehicle part assemblies.
• Learn and consistently apply proper testing procedures.
• Work under direct supervision while managing daily tasks.

Work Environment

The work environment involves hands-on tasks that require the use of mechanical and fabrication tools. The role includes setting up and executing tests using a dynamometer. The technician will work under direct supervision and should be comfortable using computers for equipment control and report assembly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
