Job summary

PurgeRite in Monroe, LA is seeking a Technician II to lead field projects, execute flushing jobs end-to-end, and mentor junior technicians on safety and efficiency.

You will support the Senior Technician, balance systems per plans, ensure quality reports, and uphold PurgeRite standards while delivering exceptional service to Fortune 100 clients.

Responsibilities

• Execute jobs completely per PurgeRite SOPs and lead on-site when Senior Technician is unavailable.
• Coordinate crew activities and mentor newer technicians.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and management; troubleshoot issues.
• Read and implement engineering flush plans; balance flow and pressure as required.
• Oversee pre/post job checklists, equipment readiness, and trip logs.
• Write and review high-quality flush reports for clients.
• Contribute to design of new equipment and improve existing procedures.
• Enforce PurgeRite safety protocols and maintain equipment/vehicles.
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and client confidence.

This mid-level technical position requires an individual with a solid foundation in field operations and the leadership potential to guide others. As a Technician II, you are a key driver of our growth, possessing the experience to not only execute complex flushing procedures but also to assist in training other team members and refining our operational standards. This position is mission-critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence with Fortune 100 clients and mechanical partners nationwide.

Position Overview

The Technician II plays a critical role in the success of PurgeRite, serving as a secondary on-site leader responsible for executing services from start to finish. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and emerging leadership skills to ensure that work is carried out efficiently, according to specifications, and in strict compliance with safety standards. You will fully support the Senior Technician while taking independent responsibility for specific project areas.

• Project Execution & Leadership: Implement jobs in their entirety per PurgeRite SOPs; serve as the primary site lead in the absence of a Senior Technician.


• Crew Coordination: Help coordinate the activities and training of the crew; provide guidance to newer technicians to grow their technical capabilities.


• Communication & Troubleshooting: Maintain professional communication with customers and management; identify and resolve technical issues or site challenges independently.


• Flush Plan Implementation: Read and comprehend engineering flush plans; understand and assist in balancing systems (flow and pressure) to meet project requirements.


• Operational Management: Oversee pre/post job checklists, equipment readiness, and trip logs; conduct pre-job site surveys to ensure operational efficiency.


• Quality Control & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities and assist in writing high-quality flush reports for clients.


• Innovation & Input: Contribute to the design of new equipment and provide valuable input to improve existing programs and procedures.


• Safety & Logistics: Enforce PurgeRite safety protocols at all times; drive company vehicles defensively and ensure tools and vehicles are maintained to standard.


• Professionalism: Protect client confidence, maintain a positive attitude, and ensure regular attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of flush equipment capabilities, tools, and mechanical systems.


• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong history of working with mechanical systems and a proactive approach to technical problem-solving.


• Leadership Ability: Demonstrated ability to lead by example and work harmoniously with diverse teams and customers.


• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting, troubleshooting, and client interaction.


• Safety Orientation: OSHA 30 Certified and committed to a safe work environment.


• Compliance: Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a safe, insurable driving record, and a high school diploma or equivalent.


• Background: Ability to pass comprehensive drug tests and background checks.


• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift/move up to 80 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions (wet, hot, or cold environments).
