Phiex Technologies seeks a Technician I to join a fast-paced lab and assembly environment at our State College facility. You will assemble sterilization products, utilize hand and power tools, and operate automated equipment, all while maintaining strict quality programs and documentation.
Your role supports ongoing R&D and production initiatives, with emphasis on ISO 13485 compliance, GMP practices, and accurate data capture. Travel may be required as projects evolve.

The Technician I is experienced in a fast-paced technical environment and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Technician I will report directly to the Assembly Plant Production Manager (initially the Director of Research & Development).The ideal candidate thrives in working hands-on on a wide range of high impact projects in medical device sterilization and industrial decontamination while utilizing microbiological, physical, and chemical testing.Integrating quality programs and standard methods is an integral component of the responsibilities.
The Technician I inspects, assembles, and packages sterilization products and components inside a regulated environment utilizing hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment. Key duties include working in cleanrooms, following strict regulatory guidelines, and ensuring absolute quality compliance and documentation.
This position is initially based at the R&D facilities of Phiex Technologies located at 200 Innovation Park, Suite 226, State College, PA 16803 and will move to the new Assembly Plant location in State College by the first quarter of 2027.
The position may require periodic travel.
Education/Certification:Technical degree or B.S.
Experience Required:1 to 3 years
This role functions mainly in a lab/assembly plant environment where various large and small equipment are used in conducting testing and assembling products.This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopy/printers, etc. As needed, this role may require infrequent travel, therefore the environment will include all modes of travel (planes, trains, car rental or car services, etc).This role may require employees to work evenings or weekends as needed.
