Additionally, the technician supports facility sustainability initiatives, manages equipment upkeep, and contributes to maintaining safe and efficient outdoor environments through proactive maintenance and timely response to work orders.

What you'll do:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation system components to ensure optimal exterior system performance.

• Perform seasonal maintenance activities, including winterizing and spring start-up procedures.

• Operate heavy machinery, vehicles, and specialized tools safely while completing routine and complex tasks.

• Respond to work orders, prioritize assignments, and coordinate with managers and partners to meet service expectations.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reports using electronic devices and traditional methods.

• Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure proper working condition and safety compliance.

• Support facility exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, to maintain safe conditions.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation system components including controllers, valves, piping, and rotors.

• Ability to operate heavy machinery, vehicles, and specialized tools safely and efficiently.

• Skilled in troubleshooting irrigation systems through pressure testing, trenching, and equipment adjustments.

• Strong knowledge of seasonal maintenance procedures such as winterizing and spring start-up.

• Competence in using electronic devices to complete work orders, update logs, and maintain accurate documentation.

• Commitment to following safety policies and maintaining a safe work environment.

• Effective communication skills to coordinate with managers, coworkers, and external partners.

• Ability to prioritize tasks based on business needs and facility requirements.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 - $40.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
