Job summary

One&Only Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, MT, seeks a Facilities Technician to maintain complex mechanical systems and ensure safe, reliable operations across resort facilities.

You will perform daily inspections, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment, and respond to maintenance requests with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge with hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general maintenance
  • CPO certification is a plus
  • Prior hospitality maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily on-site inspections of mechanical systems (HVAC, DHW, pool & fountain, sprinkler, LPG, and kitchen equipment) and complete checklists
  • Assist with monitoring, testing, and treating water in on-site pools and water features to ensure safety
  • Monitor utility consumption and report deviations promptly
  • Search for improvements to reduce consumption levels
  • Report failures or issues to supervisors and perform repairs
  • Remain familiar with all building areas, equipment, and installations and follow safety standards

Job Summary

TheTechnician,Facilitiesis responsible forthe maintenance of mechanical systems, equipment, and devices to guarantee proper andoptimalfunctionality. This individual’s primary responsibilities include daily on-site inspections, interventions, and reporting. TheTechnician,Facilitiesis also responsible for strictly adhering to all safety protocols tomaintaina secure working environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Conductdaily on-site inspections of mechanical systems (HVAC, DHW, pool & fountain, sprinkler, LPG, and kitchen equipment) while filling out checklists and acting according to the instructions of direct superiors

Assistwith monitoring, testing, and treating water in on-site pools and other water features to ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Monitorutility consumption (water, heating and cooling, and LPG),immediatelyissuing a report if any deviation is noted

Searchfor potential improvements to reduce consumption levels

Reportfailures or breakages of mechanical systems, equipment, and devicesimmediately

Respondpromptly and accurately to maintenance requests and work orders

Diagnosemalfunctioning systems, apparatuses, and components tolocatethe cause of a breakdown, performing repairs on or replacing faulty elements using hand and power tools

Followthe preventative maintenance calendar, ensuring all activities are performed accordingly

Conduct weekly homecare inspections of assigned Private Homes, ensuring all systems are inoptimalcondition

Respond tomaintenance requests from both the Homeowners and Rental Guests ofPrivate Homes

Performroutine and preventative maintenancetasksfor Private Homes, along with anyadditionalprojects as assigned

Collaboratewith superiorstoaccomplishdepartmental tasks and goals

Reportcompleted and uncompleted tasks to superiors and other relevant partiesin a timely manner

Recordall activities in maintenance software platforms

Performinventory checksof both personal and company-provided tools, along with ensuring their proper condition

Cleanand organizetechnical rooms and workshop areas

Remainfamiliar with all building areas (Front of House and Heart of House), all pieces of equipment, and installations (technical rooms, utility meters, pipe and duct routing,heatingand cooling, ventilation, water supply, sewage, grease separations, kitchen equipment, spa and gym equipment, elevators, sprinklers, and other devices)

Remainfamiliar with main shut offs (water, heating and cooling, electricity, and LPG), reacting quickly in emergency situations

Understandsafety standards and legal requirements thoroughly, adhering to them in daily activities

Performadditionalduties as assigned bythe Assistant Manager,Facilitiesor other members of the Management team

Skills, Experience,& Educational Requirements

Strong technical knowledge with proven hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general maintenance isrequired

CPO certification is a plus

Prior experience working in hospitality is preferred

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals

Ability to proactivelyidentifyand resolve problems

Proficient in both spoken and written English
