Job summary

TEAM Industrial Services, Inc. seeks an entry-level LDAR assistant to support leak detection and repair activities. You will be trained to perform air monitoring, emissions measurements, equipment calibration, and field data collection for air quality compliance.

Ideal candidate is safety-focused with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn, with potential growth into technical services, project management, or leadership roles within TEAM.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
  • Technical training or industry experience is a plus but not essential.
  • TWIC Card and driving license are preferred credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.
  • Performs EPA Method 21 hydrocarbon leak detection with portable gas analyzer and data collector.
  • Performs analyzer certification, calibration, and routine preventative maintenance on testing equipment.
  • Ensures all activities for assigned monitoring routes are completed per TEAM policies and reported accurately.
  • Identifies leaks per governing regulations and tags leaking components.
  • Performs visual assessments for leaks and reports open-ended lines.
  • Maintains LDAR component inventory and records changes.
  • Provides daily reports and communicates with site personnel and management.
  • Travels as required and participates in required training to maintain competence.

Job description

Position Overview:

TEAM is seeking an entry level person interested in learning and assisting in Leak Detection & Repair Services (LDAR) , will be trained and responsible for assisting in conducting air monitoring and emissions measurement activities, performing equipment calibrations and maintenance, and collecting and organizing field data for air quality compliance and emissions assessment program. Must be safety-focused, keen to train and learn with a good work ethic to continue a career within the service line career path assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.
  • Performs EPA Method 21 hydrocarbon leak detection using a portable gas analyzer and electronic data collector.
  • Performs analyzer certification and calibration, and routine preventative maintenance to assure optimum operation of testing equipment.
  • Assures all activities for an assigned monitoring route are completed within a time frame consistent with TEAM’s policies and procedures, assuring all components are monitored completely and are accurately reported.
  • Identifies leaks as prescribed by the applicable governing regulations and completes and attaches a leaking component tag to properly identify the leak source.
  • Performs visual assessments for evidence of leaking hydrocarbons, and report equipment with open-ended lines.
  • Maintains the identification system of LDAR components and identifies and records changes in the LDAR component inventory.
  • Provides reports daily and communicates with site-specific personnel and branch management regarding equipment changes.
  • Communicates with plant personnel as directed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned .
  • Attend and complete the required training to maintain competence and to continuously improve their skills and levels of competence and knowledge.
  • Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry50 pounds.
  • Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment to include the ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells except when performing non-field duties.
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to communicate effectively.
  • Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to investigations.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to perform routine office duties.
  • Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
  • Ability to maintain focus and multitask with effective communication skills.
Work Conditions
  • Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
  • May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical school, Industry or relevant training preferred but not essential
  • Industry experience preferred but not essential.
  • Driving License, TWIC Card, preferred.
