Socket.dev offers a structured on-the-job training program designed for individuals to develop practical technical skills in electrical systems, engines, or machinery maintenance. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools.
• Willingness to accept instruction from Training Instructor and Senior Service Technician.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Successfully complete program curriculum
• Successfully complete Work steps assessment.
• Ability to certify for operating a forklift and/or manlift.
• May require additional certifications for field.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow all WCAT safety policies and procedures.
• Follow contamination control and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting under direct supervision.
• Learn to use specialized tools and equipment effectively and safely.
• Participate in formal training sessions and apply the knowledge gained to real-world tasks.
• Assist in completing related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with supervision.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of machines/equipment.
