Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking a Central Service Technician to clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package and sterilize supplies and equipment following infection control guidelines. The role includes distribution, storage and adherence to department standards.

The incumbent will participate in Performance Improvement activities, maintain environmental care standards, and provide education to staff. Certification credentials and ongoing CE are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam for central service technicians and maintains a credential administered by IAHCSMM or the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution.
• 10 hours of continuing education annually.
• Preferred: certified central service technician.
• Demonstrates clear written, oral and verbal communication in standard English and uses basic computer tools.

Responsibilities
