About the Job

CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Technician B, A, or Special to join their team in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will have experience in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning.

Responsibilities

1. Service, inspect, and install residential and commercial gas and electric appliances and HVAC equipment
2. Maintain and repair the gas distribution system
3. Promote and sell Home Service Plus products and services
4. Respond to emergency situations
5. Complete record keeping associated with appliance service and distribution functions
6. Participate in training to increase job knowledge and competency

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a 1 or 2-year certificate, diploma, or associate degree program in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent technical skills
• Entry level position: Without a technical degree, minimum of 2 years’ experience in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning
• Tech A: Must have completed at least two years in the “A” Technician classification
