Job summary

Solenis LLC in Akron/Massillon, Ohio, is seeking a Service Technician to support sales and service efforts in the Akron area. You will conduct basic lab testing, install and maintain equipment, transfer chemicals, and monitor processes at customer sites.

This role requires accurate inventory management, documentation of results, and safe operation in an industrial environment. You will also travel locally, handle routine testing, and participate in service reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally throughout the Akron/Massillon territory.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing and monitoring at customer sites.
• Interface directly with customers to address issues related to chemical programs or equipment performance.
• Manage product inventory and offload chemicals into customer storage tanks.
• Adjust chemical feed rates based on testing to ensure optimal treatment performance.
• Alert site managers or engineers to issues and assist with troubleshooting.
• Conduct expanded process testing to identify dosage optimization opportunities or mechanical impacts.
• Install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment.
• Partner with the site team and customers to ensure optimal program performance and customer satisfaction.
• Perform mechanical and electrical equipment repairs as needed.

• Conduct expanded process testing to identify dosage optimization opportunities or mechanical impacts affecting performance.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Position is primarily Monday through Friday, day shift, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment.
• Chemical handling, water treatment, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout the Akron/Massillon territory.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $58,030.00 and $85,107.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
