Blue Origin in Kent, WA is seeking an Additive Manufacturing post-processing technician. You will perform post-processing on AM printed hardware, using hand tools and PPE to ensure safe, repeatable spaceflight hardware. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and collaboration across departments.
You will support powder removal, post-processing, and continuous improvement, requiring meticulous attention to defects, documentation, and cross-training across AM work centers.

As part of a hardworking team of Additive Manufacturing professionals, you will perform part post processing on AM printed hardware. This position requires knowledge of electric or pneumatic hand tools such as impact wrenches, grinders, and air hammers/chisels, along with using safe working practices in support for various spaceflight systems. You will share the team’s impact on all aspects of Additively Manufactured spaceflight while supporting hardware, continuous improvement, and process development.
This position has three main areas that you will be required to support during your shift: Powder removal, Support removal, and Continuous Improvement. All of these tasks take a meticulous attention-to-detail, so that we can help identify and correct part defects such as cracks, poor surface finish or missing geometry.
Working in this area you will need working knowledge of inspection and measuring tools such as Borescopes, Scriber, Calipers, Micrometers, and Profilometer. You will be required to maintain and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and proactively identify any related shortcomings, identify job hazard analysis (JHA) shortcomings and aid in their authorship. You will need to perform general maintenance on equipment in area and be open to cross-training in other Additive Manufacturing work centers as needed. Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $22.89 - $32.04
