Job summary

South Western Communications is seeking a Systems Technician to install, troubleshoot and maintain electronic communication systems. This role requires experience with VOIP, SIP, and computer networking, with hands-on installation, testing and diagnostics to ensure maximum system performance.

You will service multiple sites, train customers on usage, read wiring diagrams, and operate test equipment. This is a full-time, on-site position with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Experience with VOIP, SIP, and computer networking systems.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic communication systems.
• Communicate system performance to customers.

Responsibilities

• Final hookup and programming of electronics equipment for new jobs.
• Respond to customer service-related issues promptly.
• Test and document readings for customer’s systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic components.
• Handle on-call duties on a regular schedule.
• Train customer on the proper use of the equipment.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Operate test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multimeter, and Impedance Meter.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of customer equipment.
• Accurate tracking on time sheets, service tickets and inventory items.
• Full compliance with company safety program.
• Other duties as required or assigned by company management.

Technician 1

Title: Technician Reports to: Project Manager
