Job summary

Donatech Corporation in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a coating technician to operate coating machines and inspect parts. The role requires basic coating knowledge, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to read safety rules and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior coating or related experience preferred; one year certificate from college or technical school desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions and adapt to changes in a process; detail oriented and patient.
• Basic math and intermediate computer skills including Excel; data entry and report generation.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance; respirator fit and spirometry testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate coating machines and follow precise instructions.
• Process and inspect parts; clean and load parts into coating chamber.
• Coating machine maintenance including assembling/disassembling equipment and bead blasting.
• Perform workplace housekeeping and use grinders or small hand tools.
• Demonstrate flexibility to shift duties and cross-task between platforms.
• Perform in-process measurements on coated material and other duties as assigned.

Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.

US Citizenship Required.

• Operate Coating Machines: requires a basic understanding of coating technology or the ability to learn while on the job, mechanical skills, trouble-shooting skills and the ability to follow precise instructions.
• Candidate must have the ability to be on their feet for approximately 80% of their shift
• Candidate must have the ability to fluidly move from task to task from platform to platform
• Process and inspect parts. Clean and load parts into coating chamber.
• Coating machine maintenance: requires the ability to assemble and disassemble equipment, bead blasting, perform target changes through physical agility.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills are a plus and can potentially lead to additional responsibilities within the department with troubleshooting and repairs
• Perform and maintain workplace housekeeping duties.
• Must be able to use grinder or small hand tools.
