Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers in Missouri is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safe operation. You will perform wheel alignments, tire services, oil changes, brake service, and general maintenance using specialized tools and diagnostics.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of automotive repair experience, is detail-oriented, and a strong team player committed to quality and safety standards in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive repair.
  • 1+ year of experience as an alignment technician or completion of a post-secondary vocational program in automotive technology.
  • Proficient in the use of standard automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and other suspension or steering adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, and tune-ups.
  • Utilize specialized automotive tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Maintain accurate service records and document completed work in accordance with company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety standards in the shop.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers, explaining findings and recommended repairs clearly.

We areseeking an experiencedTechnician.The Automotive Technicianis responsible fördiagnosing, repairing, andmaintainingvehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation. This includes performing inspections, alignment adjustments, tire services, and general vehicle maintenance using specialized automotive tools and equipment. The technician works closely with team members tomaintainefficiency, quality, and safety standards in the shop. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills are essential to accuratelyidentifyissues and complete repairs.The ideal candidate will bedetaileddriven, accountable,customercentricand a team player with a strong work ethic to contribute to thedepartmentgoals and achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Extensive knowledge oftire installation, wheel balancing, and diagnosing ride disturbances.
  • Growingknowledge ofsteering, suspension, and general vehicle maintenance.
  • Proficient in the use ofstandard automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
